The paper states a semi-poverty life status quo of teachers and students in more than ten suburb middle schools of HuNan Province. That is teachers especially youth teachers are not good pay and conditions, they have little opportunity to improve and difficulty in getting a title of professional post, meanwhile have much working burden, students come from variety of ways, many of them are peasant juniors, their family are poor and not good with study conditions.Further analyzes the Chinese teaching status quo of suburb middle schools, there are not enough teachers in some areas, the quality of teachers is to be improved highly, the quality is not good, some students are not interested in studying Chinese, the model of Chinese teaching is stiff.Finally states the consideration of reforming Chinese teaching if we want to change the Chinese teaching status quo.So it need the support of government, department of education, society and school directors, improve the quality of all Chinese teachers, the teachers should change their traditional roles, adapt new curriculum ideals, have opinion of students knowledge, development and curriculum, and construct a Chinese teachers group, and reform the system of exams, and stimulate the teaching benefits teachers as well as students.To reach the goal of teaching benefits teachers as well as students, the teachers should teach based on the character of suburb middle school students, develop some suburb middle school curriculum, reinforce the guidance of extracurricular, and set up a cooperating form in Chinese teaching based on the center of students.
