Since 1980s, the international educational ideology has experienced many changes. As a result, people have started to pay attention to themselves and presented that the lifelong care should be granted to existing human beings. Thus education begins to focus on teaching students how to be noble people, how to get harmoniously with others, how to enrich and enjoy life, how to improve living status and pursue better life qualities. Traditionally education just emphasizes the teaching of knowledge and skills. The great development of education ideology demands that the teaching principles, approaches and evaluations should also get changed and transformed in order to realize the educational aim. Only doing that can we make sure that people could develop in all around ways. In the aspect of study, the acquisition of individual knowledge and the process of individual growth do not emerge independently in classrooms. The reason is that any knowledge relies on certain background to define its meaning. And the knowledge has the function as a tool, hence it is necessary to know the applicable range so as to skillfully use certain knowledge. That means the understanding of the background, i. e. situated, is important. In addition to that, only the harmonious combination of people's subjective activities and objective surroundings could help them develop in all around ways.So the teaching in primary and middle schools should focus on the real developing process and their true feelings, create a learner-centered study environment supported by true and complicated social situations, provide authentic activities and tasks. That will inevitably lead to the formation of knowledge and perfection of human nature in the study situation. That process means the learners continuously explore and surpass themselves in the situation of knowledge. The author writes this paper with this motive development idea from the beginning to the end and tries to re-understand the implication of re-explain teaching ideas, approaches and evaluation. The writer hopes to frame out the theoreticalsupport of situated teaching and its features.The paper, based on the teaching in primary and middle schools combining with foreign teaching research fruits, tries to make systematic and all-around study on situated teaching application. The actual classroom application, together with the practice of the author's English teaching, is summarized as the situated teaching application system after being updated and concluded with regard to the advanced idea of situated teaching.The paper has three parts: first, the author explains the implication of situated teaching from the aspects of situation as well as situation teaching. And then the author explains the relevant theoretical supports such as constructivism study theories, situated cognition and study. Also the research based on situation at home and abroad is introduced. Second, the author analyzes the features of primary and middle school teaching make the application of situated instruction possible. And the people-centered educational ideology and internal requirements of individual study are explored. The cultivating value and realistic significance of situated teaching are also explained. The author discusses the provision of rich and meaningful contexts, the creation of learner-centered study environment and the reflection of teachers as supporters. In the third part, the author discusses the application process of situated teaching in primary and middle schools from three perspectives: creating situated teaching activities, establishing situated interpersonal relations and forming situated teaching evaluations. The vivid situations can show the subtle differences among words, and the richness and the completion of texts could be displayed through students' entering the characters, feeling multi-media cultural situations and using imaginations.
