Chinese characters have become a barrier to Chinese studying and teaching in TCSOL presently. The overseas Chinese students from Southeast Asia are a distinctive colony, whose Chinese character errors are in a greater diversity and disproportion, which is quite different from those of the foreign students from Europe and America as well as from Japan and Korea. This mainly lies in their distinctive cultural background. In addition, a comprehensive dynamic study has been carried out by analyzing the original error corpus and data. Based on the research, pertinent teaching tips and devices have been put forward.
