Long, long ago, Chinese began to immigrate into other countries. As the contiguous part to China, countries of Southeast Asia had been the favorite places for the Chinese Immigrants during the long history. During the period of the late fifteenth century to the early sixteenth century, a lot of overseas Chinese were demanded to boom business, open up wasteland and build new cities, accompanied with the western colonialists invading into the Southeast Asia. On one hand, Overseas Chinese entered into Southeast Asia by the pulling force from the colony, and on the other hand, in their motherland, because of the economical and political factors, they felt the pushing force. Under the action of the inner and outer factors, overseas Chinese boomed continuously. The most important factor is the income and profit gained by the overseas Chinese, as we all know, the "pulling force". We placed historical groups into the historical contexts, people made their own choices by analyzing the formations of their behaviors, and overseas Chinese shaped the status and history of themselves by the way of balancing their gains and profits. The western colonialists couldn't make any developments and expansions without the compliant overseas Chinese's economical activities. During the late Ming Dynasty and the early Qing Dynasty, the overseas Chinese in Southeast Asia were quite different from the previous generations in the volume and conformation under the actions of special historical factors and backgrounds, made a far-reaching and direct significance for the countries of Southeast Asia and China. Because of the powerful "Pulling Force" of the colonial, overseas Chinese immigrated into Batavia continuously. But the Holland colonists became worried about the overseas Chinese when their size reached a certain level. Colonists regarded well-to-do overseas Chinese as enemies, while poor overseas Chinese as the security risks. Chinese who wanted to pursue more profits entered into the Southeast Asia countries continuously, although the Holland Colonists formulated some rules to confine the overseas Chinese's immigrations. Finally, the "Angke Massacre" broke out in 1740th.The Qing Dynasty continued indifferent to the overseas Chinese after learning the "Angke Massacre". After the long discussion, they didn't make any punishments to the Holland Colonists and the trading relationship between China and Southeast Asia continued, what the ruler of the Qing Dynasty had done embodied their hostility to overseas Chinese. The attitude towards overseas Chinese was formed because of both the economical and political factors.Be proud of the "Middle Kingdom", and claimed oneself as "a Son of Heaven", the Qing Dynasty Emperors were out of touch with reality all along, they were hesitate to get to know what happened all around the world and even more, they were reluctant to know the development conditions of other countries. They considered other nationalities should obey them with heart and soul. They hate the overseas Chinese even more, considered them as the people who discontent with their lot, and were hostile to them. All of these days, the ruler of the Qing Dynasty couldn't recognize the important role of the overseas Chinese. Not only the overseas Chinese's images couldn't be normalized, but also the overseas Chinese were discarded by their motherland, held a position of disadvantage.
