Clinical Study On Healing Effect Of DPN And Influence Of IGF-1 By Formulation Of Fu Fang Qi Ying

Objective:To observe the clinic curative effect of Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy (DPN) and discuss the mechanism of action by formulation of Fu Fang Qi Ying. Method:In clinic study, 77 cases of Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy were divided into two groups at random,treatment group (n=40) and control group (n=37).The treatment group were treated with granular formulation of Fu Fang Qi Ying,while the control group with granular formulation of Tang Mai Kang.Four weeks later,we observed the effect on the patients.Observing the symptoms and total effective ratios,making measurement of FBG,2HBG,IGF-1 in the blood and NCV before and after the treatment.Results:After four weeks of treatment,both the symptom and BG for patients of tow groups are improve.The clinic synthetic effectiveness in the treatment group is better than the control group,and the effect of treatment group to reduce FBG is better than the control group,the differences were significant (P<0.05). After treatment, it was significant that the level of VEGF was raised in the treatment group, but it was nosignificant in the control group. The NCV in the treatment group was accelerated than the control group, the differences were significant (P<0.05).Conclusions: The granular formulation of Fu Fang Qi Ying can obviously improve the patients'clinical syndrome, accelerate NCV and reduce BG. It can improve the level of IGF-1 which promote nerve regeneration. May be it is one of the mechanism of action to treat DPN by the granular formulation of Fu Fang Qi Ying.
