The Clinical Study Of The Treatment Of Shugan Jieyu Kaiqiao On Tension-type Headache

Objective:To sum up the clinical efficacy, to initially explore its role, and to provide a scientific basis for clinical application by observing the effect of Shugan Jieyu Kaiqiao on the clinical symptom score, the TCM points and the TCD indicators of patients with tension headache.Methods:Based on the inclusion criteria,72 patients with tension headache were selected. According to the principles of randomized controlled, they were divided into treatment group and control group.36 cases in the control group served Eperisone tablets while the treatment group serviced Shugan Jieyu Kaiqiao additionally. The medication continued for 30 days during which period both groups were not coupled with other analgesics.We observed the clinical symptom score,TCM points and TCD changes before and after the treatment,compared the efficacy of the two groups,observed the adverse drug reactions and side effects, evaluated the efficacy of treatment results and analyzed the related data by using SPSS statistical software.Results:1.Clinical assessment of two groups:there were significant differences (P<0.05)between the two groups before and after treatment.The response rate of the treatment group was 94.44%, while the control group was 80.56%.2.The clinical symptom score: both points reduced significantly after treatment,and the treatment group was significantly better than the control group. 3. Comparison of the TCM points:After 30 days'treatment,the symptoms and signs were markedly improved, and the two groups had significant differences respectively. After treatment the traditional Chinese medicine symptom score of the two groups also had significant differences.The treatment group was much better than the control group, which reflected the advantage of Chinese medicine in the treatment of this disease.4.Comparison of TCD indicator:the majority of patients with tension headaches had the phenomenon that the blood flow rate of the anterior cerebral artery (ACA),the middle cerebral artery (MCA),and the posterior cerebral artery(PCA)was faster,vascular spasm,the blood-supply of vertebral-basilar artery(VA, BA) was inadequate and so on. After treatment:ACA, MCA, PCA's blood flow velocity was slower, while the VA, BA blood flow velocity increased faster obviously than before. The treatment group was much better,which suggested that the drug can relieve cerebral vascular spasm, regulate vasomotor function of the brain, improve brain blood circulation and regulate emotions,thus it could reduce the adverse psychological factors influencing the disease and reach the purpose of easing the headache.Conclusion:the combination of Shugan Jieyu Kaiqiao and Eperisone tablets in treatment of tension headache had more significant clinical effects than using Eperisone alone, which could significantly improve the clinical symptoms and reduce the attacks of headache and prevent relapse. It could be used as effective treatment when headache attacks and preventive method.It is worth further study and application.
