| Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of the 25 wei coral pill for tension headache.Methods:70 patients with tension-type headache were randomly divided into two groups:one treated with 25 wei coral pill as treatment group, and the other treated with amitriptyline as control group,35 cases in each group.After 28d's treatment,the clinical efficacy and TCM symptom score rating will be evaluated. Review safety index for the clinical evaluation and assessment of adverse reactions. And related data will be analysised by SPSS statistical software.Results:25 wei Coral pill group, the total effective rate was 82.86%, amitriptyline control group, the total effective rate was 80%, by Ridit analysis, suggesting that the overall efficacy of the treatment group and the control group significant (P＞0.05). TCM efficacy comparison, the treatment group,the total effective rate was 88.57%,control group:the total rate of 82.86%. The Ridit analysis, TCM treatment group more effective than the control group (P＜0.05). After treatment and no adverse reaction to medication and side effects, fully embodied the traditional Chinese medicine traditional strengths of this disease. Conclusion:It seams that the efficacy of the 25 wei coral pill for tension headache is equal to amitriptyline, but in improving the efficacy of TCM, it is better than amitriptyline. And the 25 wei coral pill apears no obvious adverse reactions and side effects, it is worthy to be popularized.
