1. Oral health survey status among 2972 navy conscripts in ChinaObjective: To survey oral health status among the navy conscripts in China. Methods: Data of 2972 Navy conscripts were collected with stratified sampling and cluster sampling. Results: The results showed that the prevalence rate of dental caries, periodontal disease, third molars among navy conscripts, respectively, is 30.3%, 56.1%, 22.8%. Conclusion: These data were shown that the need for oral health care in navy active duty conscripts was very frequent, and oral health care seemed to account for a significant problem. It is suggested that the condition of oral health care need to be improved, the order of oral health care should be established.2. Changing Trends in Oral Health Status between 1993 and 2008 Years among Navy Conscripts in ChinaObjective: To survey Oral Health Status between 1993 and 2008 Years, and to make Strategic Plan for oral health among Navy Conscripts in China. Methods: Data of 3530 in 1993, 2927 in 2008 from Navy conscripts were collected with stratified sampling and cluster sampling. Results: The results showed that, between 1993 and 2008, DMFT had risen from 0.40 to 0.69,the prevalence rate of dental caries had risen from 21.8% to 30.2%,the prevalence rate of periodontal health had fallen from 60.6% to 43.9%. Conclusion: These results were shown that the oral health status in Navy active duty conscripts is very frequent, and oral health status seems to account for a significant problem. We suggest that the condition of oral health care to be improved, the work of oral health care requires to be strengthen, the order of oral health care should be established at once.3. Oral health survey status and Multiple-factors analysis on the health service utilization of a certain submarine corpsObjective: To survey oral health status and to get a general idea of factors which affect the utilization of medical service in a certain submarine corps in China. Methods: Data of 1341 submarine conscripts were collected with stratified sampling and cluster sampling. Results: The results showed that the prevalence rate of dental caries, periodontal disease, third molars among Navy conscripts, respectively, is 27.9%, 59.5%, 30.7%. And age, disposition, rank, treatment needs, check-up needs, and dental carries were statistically significant by multi-factors analysis. Conclusion: These data were shown that the need for oral health care in submarine active duty conscripts was very frequent, while the utilization of which should be improved.The utilization of dental services of military personnel depends upon multi-factors in China. It is suggested that the condition of oral health care need to be improved, the order of oral health care should be established.4. Measurement and Suggestion of Oral Disease Control on Chinese Navy Conscripts4.1 Three-grade safeguard system of oral health care should be established in grass roots army.4.2 The system of itineration-care should be established.4.3 Manpower of oral health care should be improved rationally.4.4 Technical research of oral medical treatment should be encouraged.
