The Study Of The Effect Of Personalized Plaster Model On Clinical Oral Health Education

Objective:To investigate the effect of using the personalized plaster model as oral health education auxiliary on improving the efficiency of oral health education.Methods:Randomly divided experimental subjects into two groups:take plaster model group and do not take plaster model group.For the take plaster model group, we used their own oral model as auxiliary props, while for the do not take plaster model group using standardized model as auxiliary props.Gave the patient of two groups oral health education with the same content. Then contrast the effect of oral health education between the two groups from three aspects:the change of dental plaque index, the master of the basic knowledge of oral health and the patient satisfaction.Results:1.In the begining of the experiment, the PLI baselines of two groups had no difference. One month after the oral health education, the PLI of two groups showed significant differences(P=0.013), indicating that patients of take model group achieved better dental plaque control;2.Let all the patients fill the basic knowledge questionnaire before and after the oral health education,and compared the scores, it showed no significant difference(before the education P=0.504, after the education P=0.722),indicating that using their own oral model as auxiliary props for oral health education has no influence on the acquirement of the education content;3. Let all the patients fill the patient satisfaction questionnaire after the treatment and education, the results showed that the patients of take model group got higher satisfaction(P=8.867×10-9). Conclusion:Using the personalized plaster model as oral health education auxiliary can improve the effect of oral health education. It helps patients to achieve better dental plaque control. And it also improves the patient satisfaction with treatment and oral health education to a certain extent.
