Acupuncture BaihuiFengfu Point On The Cervical Vertigo Patients With Vertebrobasilar Artery Hemodynamics

Objective: This study is to observe the influence to the vertebral-basilar artery hemodynamics according to TCD by acupuncturing FengFu and Baihui points in patients with cervical vertigo,by contrast with acupuncturing Sanjingjiao and to provide objective evidence for optimization of clinical acupoints selection for cervical vertigo.Methods: The clinical study of 56 cases selected were randomly divided into observation group and control group which were observed before and after acupuncture by TCD,as shown the changes of blood flow velocity in the two groups BA, bilateral VA, PICA, and the data were statistically analyzed (t test), whether there are differences between the two groups which were observed.Results: Clinical studies have shown,for VA high velocity type of the observation group,there is significant difference before and after the treatment within the groups(P<0.05).For PICA of the observation group,there is highly significant difference before and after the treatment within the groups(P<0.01).The results indicate that it can improve the blood flow of the high velocity of VA and PICA low velocity type by both acupuncting the Fengfu and Baihui acupoints. For PICA high velocity type of the control group,there is significant difference before and after the treatment within the groups(P<0.05).As for PICA low velocity type of both observation group and control group,there is highly significant difference before and after the treatment within the groups(P<0.01),which indicates acupuncturing Baihui and fengfu has a better effect on improving the PICA low velocity than acupuncturing Sanyinjiao.Conclusion: Acupuncture Baihui,Fengfu points has a significant improvement in patients with cervical vertigo vertebral - basilar artery hemodynamics, which provides an objective basis for clinical use of acupuncturing Fengfu and Baihui points.
