Objective: To investigate the therapeutic effect of cervical Jiaji (EX-B2) acupoint injection combined with bilateral Taichong (LR3), Fenglong (ST40) and Zusanli (ST36) for treatment of Cervical Vertigo/Dizziness.Methods: A total of 40 patients were divided into Jiaji Group (Treatment Group) and simple Acupuncture Group (Control Group). The Jiaji group was injected with Danggui Zhusheye(Angelica Sinensis solution) plus acupuncture at bilateral Taichong (LR3), Fenglong (ST40) and Zusanli (ST36). The Control Group was treated with acupuncture at bilateral Taichong (LR3), Fenglong (ST40) and Zusanli (ST36) only. Transcranial Doppler (TCD) determined the velocity of blood flow, Diameter, Resistance,Q value of Vertebral Artery before and after treatment. Results: After the treatment, the value of Vmax,Vmin, Vmean, Dia. and Q increased remarkably and the value of RI decreased significantly in Treatment Group. Compared with pre-trearment, there were significant differences (P< 0.01).However, there were only significant differences in the value of Vmax and Q in Control Group(P< 0.05). In comparison with two groups of all TCD values, Treatment Group has significantly changed compared with Control Group(P<0.01).The difference between pre- and post-test in Treatment Group showed significantly changed in all TCD values compared with Control Group (P<0.01).Conclusions: Both group had an obvious effect on abnormal velocity in Vertebral Artery and the therapeutic effect of Treatment Group was significantly superior to simple Acupuncture Group.
