| Herpangina is a common disease among children and also a special type of outpatient pediatric upper respiratory tract infection which infects with strong strength, spreads widely and occurs in summer and autumn. The incidence rates is highest among Children aged 1 to 7, but such disease still happens among neonatal babys and adults. Pathogens is mostly Coxsackie A group of viruses, can also be found in the EB virus and mycoplasma infections. The major clinical manifestations are fever, sore throat, salivation, pharyngeal isthmus herpes. The main treatment of western medicine are anti-virus and symptomatic treatment, but no specific treatment, while most antiviral efficacy are not plausible, side effects are obvious. According to "Chinese Pediatrics", the fifth edition textbook, it belongs to traditional chinese medicine "aphthosis" category,and is divided into wind-heating into the spleen, brimming heat of the heart and spleen, floating up deficiency fire which are three syndromes for diagnosis and treatment. However, the rapid onset of the disease and highly contagious of that are really different from most types of aphthosis.My mentor, MD, director of Yu De Zhao, according to herpes disease existed mainly in the buccal pharynx rather than buccal mucosa, gingival, tongue and other parts, and other characteristics of infectious, thinks that the herpes caused the disease of lung and throat attacked by the department of wind-heat epidemic toxin, and considers that this disease can be used seasonal febrile disease to diagnose and treat.According to physiological and pathological characteristics of diseased children, the children who infect the wind-heat warm pathogen change rapidly, when they go to see a doctor, it seams already not manifest to wei-fen or qi-fen of symptoms, but often looks like simultaneous affection of wei and qi. It is based on the theory of traditional Chinese medicine to dispel wind, heat-clear and detoxify, relieve sore throat. To treat children who have herpes angina with Yinqiao QingYan Particles gets a good clinical efficacy, but there is still a lack of clinical studies to evaluate its effect.ObjectiveUsing Yinqiao Qinyan Particles cure herpangina among children, observing before and after the adoption of clinical symptoms, signs and other indicators and assessing its clinical efficacy objectively provide an objective basis for clinical application.MethodsCollectting 30 cases of diagnosing the herpangina was randomly divided into treatment group and control group which were 15 cases of each group. Treatment group were treated with Yinqiao Qingyan Particles, control group were treated with ribavirin, a treatment for five days. In order to record before and after treatment of the symptoms, signs and other indicators of changes, we could apply the statistical sofeware SPSS13.0 to the results of statistic analysis.Results1. The study results indicated that:after five days of treatment, Children in treatment group and control group in herpes score,Hot peak score,throat Sore respectively score points:treatment group 0.13±0.52,0.07±0.26,0.20±0.41, control group 0.67±0.72,0.53±0.74,0.67±0.72, through the t test, Compared with the control group, P values were less than 0.05, So both groups after treating individual signs and symptoms was significant difference, the treatment group was better than the control group。2.The treatment group and control group two groups of children in herpes subsidise time and antifebrile time comparad, that was:treatment group 2.87±0.92,2.47±1.06, control group 3.93±1.28,3.60±1.24, through the t test, Compared with the control group, two groups in the improvement of symptoms and signs had significant differences (p<0.05), the treatment group herpes disappear time,antifebrile time was significantly shorter than the control group.3. Before and after five days of treatment, two groups of children in total score symptoms and signs compared, the treatment group was that:before treatment 11.80±2.18, after treatment 1.33±2.66; the control group was: before treatment 10.60±1.68, after treatment 3.80±3.70, through the t test, Compared with the control group, P values were less than 0.05(p=0.046), two groups of integral change after treatmentthat was significant difference the treatment group was better than control. After each treatment compared with before treatment integral points, P value were less than 0.05, each own integral change had significant differences.4. After five days of treatment, the treatment group was 15 cases, Heal 10 cases, effectively 4 cases,1 case ineffective, the effect rate was 93.3%; the control group was 15 cases, Heal 5 cases, effectively 7 cases,3 case ineffective, the effect rate was 80%; Through the nonparametric test, Compared with the control group, P values were less than 0.05(p=0.035), so both groups after treating curative effect has significant difference, the treatment group better than the control groupConclusionsIt has a good effect to treat the children with the disease involving wind-heating into the spleen of herpangina with Yinqiao Qingyan Particles.Patients can relieve fever, sore throat and herpes symptoms and signs. The results by statistical analysis show that:the effect of Yinqiao Qingyan Particles used by the treatment group is significantly better than ribavirin used by the control group, it is well worth in clinical application.
