| Objective:With the Chinese patent medicine Pudilan Xiaoyan Oral Liquid was as the control group,the present study was done to evaluate the clinical efficacy of Modified Yinqiao Mabo Powder Combined with Haoqinqingdan Decoction treating herpangina in children with dampness-heat accumulation syndrome and probe into its etiology and pathogenesis then provide a new treatment for the disease to relieve the pain of children more effectively.MethodsThis study selected 70 children who met the diagnostic criteria of herpangina and the diagnostic criteria of herpangina(dampness-heat accumulation syndrome)were randomly divided into two groups with equal numbers.On the premise that the basic data of the two groups,such as gender,age,pre-treatment symptom score,etc.with comparability(P>0.05),the treatment group was given Modified Yinqiao Mabo Powder Combined with Haoqinqingdan Decoction for 5 days,while the control group received oral Chinese patent medicine Pudilan Xiaoyan oral liquid for 5 days.The antipyretic time,herpes regression time,the times of taking Ibuprofen,and the changes of TCM symptoms were monitored,and evaluate the efficacy of TCM syndromes in both groups.Results:1.After 5 days of treatment,the total scores of TCM syndromes in the two groups were 3.290 ± 1.970 in the treatment group and 6.788 ± 3.498 in the control group,respectively,compared with the total scores of TCM syndromes before treatment in the two groups(18.226 ± 3.905 in the treatment group and 18.121± 3.525 in the control group),there was a significant difference in the total score of syndrome before and after treatment(p<0.01),and the total score of syndrome after treatment was significantly lower than that before treatment.After 5 days of treatment,the scores of main and secondary symptoms were significantly improved(P<0.05).2.The time of complete fever reduction and herpes regression in the treatment group were 44.645+10.493h and 4.032±1.224d,respectively.The time of complete fever reduction and herpes elimination in the control group were 61.909± 13.249h and 4.970± 1.425d.It was observed that the antipyretic time and herpes regression time of the study group were significantly shorter as compared to the control group(P<0.01).The comparison between the two groups found that the treatment group was superior to the control group in improving pharynx pain,anorexia,expression burnout,urination and stool condition(P<0.05).3.Comparing the changes of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndrome integral:5 cases were cured,20 cases were markedly effective,5 cases were effective and 1 cases were ineffective and total efficiency 96.7%in the treatment group;2 cases were clinically cured,12 cases were markedly effective,15 cases were effective and 4 case was ineffective and total efficiency 87.9%in the control group.The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05)and The treatment group was more effective than the control group.Conclusion:1.The Modified Yinqiao Mabo Powder Combined with Haoqinqingdan Decoction has significantly better TCM syndrome efficacy than Pudilan Xiaoyan Oral Liquid in the treatment of herpangina.2.Compared with the control group and natural course of the disease,The Modified Yinqiao Mabo Powder Combined with Haoqinqingdan Decoction can reduce the course of fever and herpes fading time.It is effective in relieving sore throat,dullness,listlessness and improving yellow urine and loose stool of children with dampness-heat accumulation syndrome.3.Dampness-heat accumulation syndrome is one of the important TCM syndrome of herpangina in children,we should attach importance to it in clinical syndrom differentiation. |
