| Objective:To discuss the clinical curative effect on Acute Leukemia with hyperactivity of virulent heat-evil by using Qingrejiedukangbai decoction combined with Chemotherapy with Western Medicine.Methods:60 cases of in-patients with Acute Leukemia from September 2003 to December 2004 were selected and divided into two groups randomly:30 cases were treated by Chinese medicine combined with Chemotherapy with Western Medicine as treatment group,and 30 cases were treated by Chemotherapy with Western Medicine as control group,the patients were treated for one or two therapeutic courses,then observed the changes of the clinical syndromes,peripheral hemogram,myelogram,curative effect, side-effects and the complications.Moreover,all of above were compared between treatment and control group. Results:It was found that Qingrejiedukangbai decoction combined with chemotherapy had notable curative effect.The complete remission(CR) rate and total rate of Acute Non-Lymphocytic Leukemia(ANLL) reached 82.6%,91.3%,higher than chemical therapy with western medicine(p＜0.05),which was 58.3%and 62.5%;Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia(ALL) had a CR rate of 85.7%and a total rate of 85.7%,and the control group was 66.7%and 82.4%,but the two groups were not significant(p＞0.05).Qingrejiedukangbai decoction obviously relieved the clinical syndromes,improved the existent conditions of patients and decreased such appearance of side-effects as nausea,vomiting and arrest of bone marrow.As a result,it made better to the therapeatic group than to the control group(p＜0.05) about hemogram,mylogram,Chinese medical syndromes and curative effect.This promptes Qingrejiedukangbai decoction combined with chemotherapy treating Acute Leukemia better than that of chemotherapy only.Conclusion:Qingrejiedukangbai decoction combined with chemotherapy is effective in treating acute leukemia,which has higher CR rate and total effective rate than that with chemotherapy only,and can decreases the side-effects of chemotherapy.
