Clinical Study On Treatment Of Deep Vein Thrombosis Of The Lower Extremities With Xiaoshuantongmaitang Decoction

Objective: To observe the clinical effect of Xiaoshuantongmaitang Decoction on deep vein thrombosis of the Lower Extremities (LEDVT) and its action on blood stream rheology and coagulation, explore its mechanism. Methods: 60 patients of LEDVT were divided randomly into two groups,the treatment group (30 cases) was treated with Xiaoshuantongmai Decoction one dosis each day, and the control group (30 cases) were dosed Tongsaimai tablets 5 pills each time, 3 times each day. Both of the groups were given Urokinase, Low Molecular Heparin and Xueshuantong Injection. The changes of clinical symptom and laboratory indexes were observed before and after treatment. Result: The recovery rate of the treatment group in treating LEDVT was 61.76%, while the control group was 34.38%. The treatment group was obviously superior to the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: Xiaoshuantongmai Decoction is effective for the patient with LEDVT in acute stage. It can dissolve thrombus, raise collateral circulation, degrade blood viscosity, lighten edema and pain, improve skin's colour and temperature. It was reliable and safe.
