| Chinese Foreign Health Aid is a very important part of Chinese Aid and Chinese Diplomacy, but little attention has been given to this topic. Although some contents have been mentioned in some literatures and papers related to Chinese Diplomacy and Chinese Foreign Aid, most these research on the topic are the simple introductions or regard it as a part of Chinese Foreign Aid.Systematic study is an effective way to learn more about it. This dissertation mainly focuses on the Chinese Foreign Health Aid, which is based on the Jiangsu province's working experience. Chinese Foreign Health Aid went through 3 historical periods, 1) initial period(1960s-1970s),2)the beginning of the Reform and Opening Up, 3) 1995 to present. Similar to another Chinese Foreign Aid, Chinese Foreign Health Aid is an indispensable part of Chinese Diplomacy policies and serve the national interest. It also will change accordingly as the variations in social development. In the old days, political significance is the main concern, nowdays, economic significance is also addressed. Totally speaking, though Chinese Foreign Health Aid had its own drawbacks, it succeed in serving our national interest. The author comprehensively examines the history of Chinese Foreign Health Aid, analyzes its successes and failures in the past decades.Through our government's efforts over the last several decades, Chinese Foreign Health Aid has already becomes extremely precious diplomatic resources of China. It will play more and more important role in the future. Moreover, it reflects the historical development of Chinese Diplomacy from the point of side view. |
