Medicine is a highly humanities disciplines. It is the key of high-quality medical personnel training for medical institutes of higher learning to integrate medical education and humanities education in the important period of changing from the traditional biomedical model to a modern biological - psychological - social medical model. It has important practical significance of deepening medical education reform for us to have a new awareness of the importance of medical humanities education and courses and to strengthen the implementation of medical humanities courses. To this end, the study is done for the analysis and research of the reasons of the current situation, problems of the humanities courses in medical college by use of literature analysis, comparative analysis, theoretical research analysis and other methods, as well as the proposition of the theory thinking and practice recommendation for the implementation of the humanities courses of medical institutes of higher learning under the current medical development trend by learning from foreign advanced experience in the implementation of medical humanities courses. So the reference is offered for the further promotion of medical humanities education.The full paper is divided into five parts:First part, introduction. Discussed, in this part, are the significance of this paper, the basis for the choice of the subject, research contents, major research methods, and basic concepts of interpretation.Second part, the current situation and problems of the humanities courses of medical institutes of higher learning. The current situation of the humanities courses in medical college is analyzed integrating practical condition, and the existed problems are discussed.Third part, the attribution analysis of the existed problems of medical humanities courses. The reasons of the existed problems of medical humanities courses are analyzed.Forth part, enlightenment of foreign medical humanities courses. Research are made to the curricula, teaching arrangements and methods, teaching staff and so on of foreign medical humanities courses.Fifth part, countermeasures and thinking of the implementation of the humanities courses in medical college. The countermeasures of the implementation of our medical humanities courses are brought forward, through the above mentioned analysis and comparison, aiming at the current development of the humanities courses in medical college, using for reference the advanced ideas and methods of international medical education, and learning from strong points to offset our weakness.
