Teachers of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) is very important, whose quality affects the existence and development of educational business in TCM. On the other hand, the timeworn concept of teacher management in colleges and universities of TCM as well as the petrified structure could hardly meet the current requirement. It is of great importance to reinforce the theoretical research and practical exploration of human resource management in colleges and universities of TCM. Longtime ago, the research of human resource in colleges and universities mainly dealt with university teachers'working characteristics, needs, incentive , contents and means of performance appraisal and so on from a stationary angle instead of checking the relationship between teachers'development and university organization from angle of career development. The correlational research of career management in universities of TCM and western medicine could hardly be found.From the aspect of the TCM teachers'characteristics and existent problems, the thesis hereof is, simultaneously with the intension to enrich the field of teachers'management ,trying to introduce the thought and theory of career management into teacher management in colleges and universities and to develop the theoretical field of career management research. Combining with the status quo of the career management of the teachers in Shanghai Universities of TCM, it is a innovative research of teacher management in colleges and universities by questionnaire, literature study and profund interview. It is blazing new trails, to some extent, trying to lead the theory and practice of career management to institutions of higher learning. Thus, this paper is accordingly divided into four parts, mainly expatiating on the career management of TCM teachers.a. Introduction.This part is to put forward the study of the background and the significance of major research and research framework and to discuss the significance of implementation . The career management for the teachers of TCM satisfy both the need of individual career development and HR development of the university to achieve the strategic goal of organization, leading to the win-win situation individually and collectively.b. Career management theory.This part firstly expounds the basic content on the career management and introduces the main phasictheories in Career management field and the factors influencing the teacher's career management. Secondly, it introduces the concept of teachers'career management and the representative theories in teacher's career management field. In addition, the paper introduces the Chinese scholars'view in the field. Finally, it introduces the present study on teachers'career management in universities. So we may carry out our teachers'career management in a better way.c. Analysis and study on career management of TCM teachers in Shanghai University of TCM(SHUTCM).Firstly, a introduction of SHUTCM. Then take the form of survey papers aiming at the teachers of TCM. The paper introduce the questionnaire design and the survey samples. We try to analyze the questionnaires from two aspects: organizational career management and individual career management. Thus, we may find the existing problems and analyze the reasons of the problems.d. Career management of TCM teachers solutions. Based on the correlational theories,it is to illustrate the principles of implementation and to discuss the roles division. Putting forward the policy of TCM teachers career management which is based on the teachers'characters and the analysis of current situation, we would especially discourse on countermeasures.e. Conclusion.
