Study On The Demand And Utilization To Community Health Service Of Gongming Neighborhood In Shenzhen

Community Health Service (CHS) is an important content of the Chinese health reform. Since 1997, a series of policies about the CHS have been promulgated. The developing CHS is the firm and unshakable policy of the Chinese government, and an important content of the Chinese medical service system to 21 centuries. It is the important significance to develop CHS to improve the health level and the quality of life of the community resident. It will boost the healthy, sustainable development forcefully of the CHS by reinforcing the research to the relevance field about the CHS.Research purposesBased on the document summarizing originally, the study combined with the society and economy characteristic of Gongming neighborhood in Shenzhen City, Collected the relevance data about the CHS of the Gongming neighborhood, and carried out questionnaire investigation on organization, medical personnel, management personnel, out-patient, community resident etc. The paper analyzed the demand, utilization and influence factor to the CHS by the different angles and methods, analyzed and showed the CHS work of Gongming neighborhood as a classic case, and put forward the suggestion to the CHS development.Research methodsBased on the document data and on-site investigations, the descriptive and analysis methods were employed to analyze the data, including descriptive analysis, Chi-square test (X~2), logistic regression analysis and TOPSIS method,Research contentsThe study choosed all the CHS organizations, part of the community residents and out-patients of Gongming neighborhood in Shenzhen City. The effective questionnaire investigation have been carried out to the fundamental condition of neighborhood, 22 centers (station) of the CHS, 2926 community residents, 177 employees of the CHS, and 848 out-patients, by the means of the random sampling with layers, the simple random sampling, and group sampling etc. The content of investigation included society and economy characteristic of the Gongming neighborhood, health service condition to resident family (demand and utilization), resource allocates of the CHS (current situation of equipment and human resources), the satisfaction degree of the CHS employees and the patients, resident reactiveness etc. The paper analyzed the demand and utilization condition of the CHS in Gongming neighborhood.Research resultBy the survey and data analysis, the following inadequate exist in the CHS of Gongming neighborhood about the demand and utilization.1 The characteristic of the community residents'demand and utilization to the CHS is different.(1) The characteristic of socio-demography is different.(2) The composition of local disease is different.2 The CHS made progress rapidly, but it is inadequate.(1) The rate of acquaintance to the CHS should be improved.(2) The satisfaction degree of community residents to the CHS should be improved.(3) The utilization of community residents to the CHS should be improved. 3 The input to the CHS is deficient.(1) The input of the organization hardware is deficient.(2) The allocation of human resources should be adjusted.4 The service ability of the CHS organization should be strengthened.(1) Raising the service technical and innovating the service pattern.(2) Improving the management level to the CHS organizations is the important aspect of strengthening service ability.(3) Improving the resident reactiveness to the CHS is the important reflection of strengthening service ability.5 It has restrained the utilization to the CHS that the level of medical security cover is inadequate.Policy SuggestionsCombining with the study result, the paper put forward six suggestion for the CHS of Gongming neighborhood.1 Combining with the local social and economic characteristic, work out the health policy to regionalism.2 Attaching great importance to the propaganda of the CHS, reinforce health education to community resident.3 Strengthening the intension construction of the CHS, improve the satisfaction degree of community resident.4 Attach great importance to team construction of the CHS.5 Carry out the scientific management; raise the enthusiasm of the CHS employees.6 Perfecting resident medical insurance system promote the utilization for the CHS.
