A Comparative Study On The Cognition Difference To Nursing Culture Between Nurses And Patients

Objective:The identity in cognition to nursing culture of nurses and patient is the foundation to construct harmonious nurse-patient relationship, while the difference, one of the main factors to result in bad nurse-patient relationship. Questionnaire is applied to realize the way they cognize it in order to distinguish the identity and difference between nurses and patient to nursing culture, to construct better clinical nursing culture and to provide theory of constructing more harmonious nurse-patient relationship.Methods:The patient and nurses were selected randomly in the People's Hospital of Shehezi and the Affiliated Hospital of Shihezi University to realize the way they understand the culture. Observation method, open interview method and close questionnaire were used.The data were compared and analyzed. Epidata2.1 was used for input and data management. SPSS11.0 was used in data analysis.Results:The cognition to nursing culture is to be improved among nurses and patient, but the former was better than the later significantly. As for its material aspect, both of them think good manners, decent appearance of nurses and comfortable circumstance of hospital part of the culture. But nurses pay more attention to rules and regulations of hospital, and patient pay more attention to their own needs. As for its systematic aspect both of them think the maintenance of orders in hospitals, the smooth flow of medical work part of the culture. The latter stresses more individuation in the system. As for its spiritual aspect, both of them think it a necessity of health education in the maintenance, in the regain, in the improvement of the health of patients for they have certain knowledge in medical sciences, but differently in the cognition to evaluation criterion of nursing , social status and delivery pressure of nurses, purpose and motive of nursing service . Otherwise, their cognition to the culture is influenced by the factors as the differences in age,in educational background,etc.Conclusion:The identity in cognition to nursing culture of nurses and patient is the foundation to construct harmonious nurse-patient relationship. We should vocate and develop it vigorously. While the difference, is specific personalization of contradictory between nurses and patient,and it is one of the main factors to result in bad nurse-patient relationship. We should in line with weather or not the nursing culture is profit for recover ,attendance and encourage health for patient. To set about it in both sides of nurse and patient.If the problem belong to nurses,they should raise their disposition industriously. If the problem belong to patient,nurse should by communication to strive for support and cooperation of patient's.
