| Objective: To describe the basic status and characteristics of the Three Gorges immigrants in mental health; to research immigrant health risk factors; to evaluate psychological impact of the Three Gorges immigrants from the event of immigration itself, placement projects and other factors Scientifically; to provide scientific basis for improving government departments immigration policy.Methods: Using group stratified random sampling, we select 163 immigrant adults, 100 immigrant middle students, and 152 local adults, 100 local middle students in Chongqi; also select 100 immigrant adults, 32 immigrant middle students, and 100 local adults, 32 local middle students in Sichuan. Surveyed by PSSG, SCL-90, SSRS and basic status table of resident, then input all original data into computer analysis by SAS 8.2. Result: The mental health level of the Three Gorges immigrant adults is lower than local residents, moreover immigrant to other places is even lower than immigrant to local place.
