Due to aging and poor physical condition, the elderly are generally considered to be a low mobility group. However, due to the continuous improvement of China’s urbanization and the increasing number of migrant workers, the trend of family migration of floating population is becoming more and more significant. It is in this context that the elderly group of migrant rises.Under the background of aging population, the scale of this elderly group is becoming larger and larger. They flow with their children and are in a state of "double wandering" in body and spirit, which constitutes a distinctive picture of aging China. The elderly group in the floating population belongs to the special vulnerable group, which has the identity of "the elderly" and "the floating person",and also faces many difficulties such as lack of security, social fracture and intergenerational conflict. Therefore,it is more likely to form serious mental health problems such as loneliness, depression and anxiety. In 2002,who officially released the policy framework of active aging, which marks the evolution of active aging from abstract concept to specific strategic and policy direction.Since then, the concept of active aging has been developing continuously, which has become an important theory and strategy to deal with the problem of population aging in the world. The concept of active aging emphasizes the important role of mental health in improving the quality of life of the elderly, reducing the burden of family support, and promoting social harmony and stability.Based on this, this paper takes the concept of active aging as the research background, classifies and analyzes the factors that affect the mental health of the elderly, discusses the influence of social participation and elderly security on the mental health of the elderly, and puts forward the corresponding countermeasures to construct the mental security path of the elderly immigrant.Based on the theoretical framework of active aging, this paper summarizes the relevant views of scholars at home and abroad, divides the core pillars of active aging "participation" and "security" into several dimensions, constructs the research framework of influencing factors of mental health of the migrant elderly, and selects the mature foreign "general health scale(GHQ-12)score" as the core to measure the "mental health" of the migrant elderly. On this basis, the questionnaire on the influencing factors of the mental health of the floating elderly is compiled;in Jinniu District of Chengdu, five communities where the elderly migrant live more are selected, and the questionnaire survey is conducted by response driven sampling method;through empirical analysis, the following conclusions are drawn: first, nearly half of the migrant elderly are in poor mental health;second, social participation and the migrant elderly are in poor mental health Among them, the participation of interpersonal activities and social entertainment activities has a positive impact on the mental health of the migrant elderly, and with the increasing frequency of participation, the greater the degree of improvement of their mental health;third, there is a significant correlation between the elderly security and the mental health of the migrant elderly, including economic security, medical security and spiritual security All of them have positive effects on mental health of the migrant elderly;fourthly, social participation and elderly security have different effects on mental health of the migrant elderly in different urban and rural registered residence. Finally, based on the policy framework of active aging, this paper puts forward the realization path of constructing the spiritual security for the migrant elderly.
