Objective: To investigate the distribution of p53Arg72Pro and p73G4A polymorphism and correlate these two polymorphism to genetic susceptibility in HPV-associated cervical carcinoma in Uigur women in Xinjiang. To study the application significant of PCR-CTPP in SNP analysis. Methods: The distribution of the p73 exon2 polymorphism and the p53 exon4 polymorphism and HPV16 of 152 cases of cervical carcinoma and 110 cases of normal controls were detected by using PCR,semi-nested PCR,PCR-RFLP and PCR-CTPP.Results: (1) Frequencies of Arg/Arg, Pro/Pro and Arg/Pro in p53 were 46.05%(70/152), 13.15% (20/152) and 40.80%(62/152) in cervical carcinoma cases and 30.9%(34/110), 14.54%(16/110) and 54.55%(60/110) in control cases, respectively. Difference of genotype frequencies between the cervical carcinomas and the controls was significant statistically (χ2=6.307,P<0.05). (2) Frequencies of GC/GC, AT/AT and GC/AT in p73 polymorphism were 70.29% (71/101), 1.98% (2/101) and 27.73% (28/101) in cervical carcinoma cases and77% (77/100), 4% (4/100) and 19% (19/100) in control cases, respectively. Difference of genotype frequencies between the cervical carcinomas and the controls was not significant statistically (χ2=3.309,P>0.05). (3). Positive rate of HPV16 DNA was 74.34%(113/152) in...
