Nurses' Occupational Stress is not only an important factor influencing their health, but also an important variable influencing their work and achievements. Both the domestic and foreign research shows that nurses' occupational stress is so great that it affects their life and work badly. The advantages and disadvantages of nurses' occupational stress in Nurses' activities lie in the way they cope with it. Different coping styles inevitably lead to different reactions. However, in past research, the selection of the target of stress reaction seldom cares for the nurses' job satisfaction. Accordingly, this study takes job satisfaction as the response target of nurses' occupational stress.Based on present literature analysis and inventory surveys, the author sets Nurses' Job Satisfaction Questionnaire (NJSQ) first, then, uses NJSQ, the Nurse Working Pressure Test Table and the Coping Style Inventory to collect materials needed of informants' occupational stress, coping styles and job satisfaction. The study discusses the differences in occupational stress, coping styles and job satisfaction of nurses under different backgrounds. Besides, with the process model "cause— medium —reaction", this paper carries out a relationship model of occupational stress, coping styles and job satisfaction through combining occupational stress with coping styles, and different coping styles with different job satisfaction. Conclusions drawn are as follow:1. This study proved that nurses' job satisfaction is comprised of 5 factors: sense of achievement satisfaction, interpersonal relationships satisfaction, professional development satisfaction, work conditions satisfaction and work benefits satisfaction.
