(P<0.05 ) However, there was no statistical differences of EI varied with education levels. (P>0.05). (2) Differences between Nurses'Conscientiousness scores and normative data with statistical significance have been found. (P <0.001) . (3) Nurses'EI scores were correlated with coping styles (r=-0.123~0.253). (4) EI, Conscientiousness and Nurses'Demographic characteristics has a significant regress effects on Stress Coping Styles. (P< 0.05; P< 0.01). (5) Changes of R2 in the model for the regress analysis on Task-oriented Coping Styles and Avoidance ways of coping after interactive effect virable entered have found to be statistical significant. (P<0.05)While there is no statistical significant change in the model R2 for Emotion-focused Coping (P>0.05).ã€Conclusions】(1) Both problems solving and positive recognition are main coping styles of nurses towards stress.Either avoidance or self_reproach was seldom coping strategies of nurses toward occupational stress. (2) Compare to normative data , nurses have more higher score on Conscientiousness. (3) Four dimensions of EI, as well as Conscientiousness and nurses'demographic characteristics positively or negatively predicted six kind of Stress Coping Strategies separately . (4) As far as average effects were concerned,EI and Conscientiousness have interactive effects on task-oriented and avoidance stress coping strategies.
