| Objective : The article was to evaluate the efficacy of Du-moxibustion on Ankylosing Spondylitis with malformation of spine and discuss the mechanism there might be. Methods : 60 cases were selected, and were divided into two groups at random.30 cases were treated with Du-moxibustion, while the other 30 cases, as Control group, were treated with acupuncture. Result : The total effective rate of Du-Moxibustion group was 93.3%, of acupuncture group was 80%,and there was significant difference between the two groups(P<0.01). Concludes : Du-moxibustion had the function of anti-inflammation, alleviateing the arthrodynia, reinforcing nourishment to the muscles, rectifing the strength of the muscles beside the spine, decreasing the degenerating of bones, and preventing the ossifmg of muscles and ligaments, regulating the immunity, lightening the mar by immune reaction, could significantly remedy spinal malformation of AS.
