The primary approach on establishment of theassessment standard of the stroke convalescenceAbstractPurpose: Absorbing the essence of the modern clinic medicineand the rehabilitation medicine, this study ptimarily approached toestablish the assessment standard of the stroke convalescence,which consisted of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)zhengzheng (symptom and sign), activities of daily living (ADL),psychological status. The assessment standard will have goodreliability and validity. In addition, it will be operated easily. Thestroke convalescence assessment standard will be advantageous toavoid the mistake of seeking the myodynamia revivification, andadvantageous to exert the predominance of the TCM. And it willbenefit the stroke sufferer to gain the high quality rehabilitationDcsign scheme: cross-sectional study combined withprospective cohort studySetting: clinical serviGe and ward of neuroloy department,clinical service and ward of department of acupuncture andmoxibustion, emergency service, Guangdong province hospital ofTCM. (The second hospital affliated to Guangzhou University ofTraditional Chinese Medicine)Paticntslparticipants: the stroke patients in convalescence,which from Guangdong province hospital of TCM. (The secondhospital affliated to Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese3Medicine).Inclusive criteria: l .the patients were conscious.2.the patients'conditions were stable. 3.the patients were able to go with theinvestigation.Exclusive criteria: l.the patients who were suffered transientischemic attack (TIA), subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH). 2.thepatients could not express themselves correctly. 3.the patients whosuffered some other diseases that declined their activities of dailyliving seriously. 4.the patients could not go with the investigation.Survey approach of thc major results:The survey instruments were evaluation criteria for strokes ofTCM, neurologic impairment scale, classify of living ability,activities of daily living (ADL), TCM syndrome functioning scale,Vitality and Mental Health functioning scale .Through the statisticand special analysis, a "TCM zhengzheng (symptom and sign)functioning scale lI was established .Its validity, reliability andresponsiveness were evaluated, by the method of, factor analysisand principle component analysis, Cronbach, s Q coeffcients, theestimation of responsiveness, etc.Rcsults: This study established the assessment standard of thestroke convalescence, which including 4 functioning sub-scales.They are TCM zhengzheng (symptom and sign) sub-scale, ADLBarthel Index, VT sub-sca1es and MH sub-scales. The TCMzhengzheng sub-scale was proved having good validity andreliability (the criterion-relatcd validity was 0.899; Cronbach's Qcoeffcient =0.713). And its responsibility was good, too.4Conclu8ion: This study primarily approached to establish thestroke convalescence assessment standard, accumulated someexperience, and built the foundation for the further research.
