Clinical Observation On Treatment Of Gouty Arthritis With Baihu Decoction And

Objective:Clinical observation on the treatment of gouty arthritis with Bai Hu decoction and Si Miao powder.Material and methods: Selecting 60 cases with acute gouty arthritis under the criteria of inclusion and exclusion, divided into 2 groups randomly: The patients who treated with Bai Hu decoction and Si Miao powder were included in a treatment group and the patients treated with Diclofenac sodium were included in a control group. Compare two group index(quantitative evaluation index of Traditional Chinese Medicine, score about the curative effect of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the joint pain, the degree of joint swelling, the time that the joint pain began to relieve, the value of uric acid, Erythrocyte Sedimenttation Rate(ESR), C-Reactive Protein(CRP), White Blood Cell count(WBC), Neutrophils, Alanine transaminase(ALT),urea nitrogen(BUN), Creatinine(cr)) before and after treatment, also the clinical efficacy efficacy discussed in this paper.Results :1.In the clinical efficacy evaluation of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the treatment group total effective rate was 95.5% and the control group was 90%. There were significant significance compared between two groups(P<0.01). 2.Observe VAS score of two groups of patients’ pain, limited degree of joint movements and the swelling degree of joint, the statistical significance(P < 0.05) compared before and after the treatment in each group; the statistical significance compared between different groups after treatment(P > 0.05).3. the blood uric acid value compared in the each group were no statistical significance(P>0.05)before and after treatment,. 4.Comparison of two groups of patients with CRP, WBC, Neutrophils index, score before and after treatment in each group, those were statistically significant(P < 0.05), while we compared the two groups after treatment, those were no statistical significance(P > 0.05). 5.Comparison of two groups of patients’ index of ALT、BUN、cr before and after treatment in each group, results showed those were no statistical significance(P>0.05).6. We compared the time that the joint pain began to relieve after treatment in two groups, the results showed those were statistically significance(P<0.05).Conclusion :1. It was the exact curative effect that the Bai Hu decoction and Si Miao powder had to treat the acute gouty arthritis(syndrome of damp-heat).2.The healing efficacy score of TCM in the formula which adjustment of Bai Hu decoction and Si Miao powder was higher than in the treatment of Diclofenac sodium.3.We compared the time that the joint pain began to be relieved that the Bai Hu decoction and Si Miao is longer.4. The security about the liver and kidney’s function are same under two different treatments.5. The function of Bai Hu decoction and Si Miao powder to reduce blood uric acid is not obvious.
