Research On The Guiding Function Of Rail Transit To The City Spatial Development Of Heifei

With the socio-economic development and industrial structure adjustment, China's urbanization process is developing quickly. However, the significant increase of urban population, the rapid growth of motor vehicles and the relative shortage of land resources make the traffic be the bottleneck of the city spatial development. For its large capacity, high speed and high efficiency, the rail transit has been the most effective transport mode to release the traffic pressure, guide the development of city space, optimize the layout of urban land and improve the quality of city environment. At present, spatial structure and transportation mode of many major cities are being optimized. Research on the impact of the rail transit on the urban spatial development, re-constructuring the urban spatial structure based on the rail transit, is of great practical significance.First, a full understanding of the interaction between urban space and transportation was formed on the summary of traffic and urban space-related theory. Then the Hefei city was cited. From the road building and evolution process of its urban space, Hefei city's problems between the transport development and urban spatial development was analysized deeply, demonstrating that the rail transit was an effective way to resolve conflicts between them. And the Hefei city's rail transit services location and network planning program were described in detail. In order to make better use of the rail transit for orderly developing of urban space in Hefei, two typical cases of the rail transport optimizing urban spatial structure and effectively guiding the development of urban space were summarized to find main factors of the rail transit impacting on the city spatial development. Sequentially, combined with the practical situation of Hefei, the micro and macro level analysis of the guide role of rail transit on Hefei spatial development were put forward. Finally, for the "TOD" mode is the current ideal model of public transport guiding the city spatial development, the thesis proposes the establishment of TOD mode by rail transit in Hefei, forming cycle promotion and coordinated development between urban transport and land use, to guide future sustainable Hefei spatial development.
