China's rapid urbanization has made the The contradiction between population and land increasingly prominent, Intensification of land use is imperative. The city is facing an increasingly serious traffic problems because of rapid mobility. It is practically and theoretically valueable to solve the urban land use and transportation issues. The main city of Chongqing ,as a Mountain City, has its own unique characteristics in the two areas by the geographical environment. Based on these two background, Integrating the goalof "smooth Chongqing",This articleis to explore the "smooth urban" target system and to propose Countermeasure in transport development based on intensive use of land.There are eight chapters in the paper. The first chapter is the introduction, which pointes out the objective, content, meaning,logical framework, related concepts and study area of this study by explanation of the practical and theoretical background. The second chapter firstly describes related theories of intensive land use and transportation system secondly analyzes the interaction factors between urban land use and transportation, thirdly explains the relationship between urban transportation and land use from both macro and micro; The third chapter Generalizes the status of land use and traffic characteristics, and analyses traffic problems in Chongqing city and then summarizes the relationship between the two based on analysis,the factors affecting urban development;Chapter four analyzes intensification trends of land use and traffic demand trends in Chongqing City, to make the "unimpeded city" target system based on intensive land use;The fifth Chapter proposed the transportation development approach based on the intensive land use for the target for "Unimpeded Chongqing". Chapter six taking Guanyinqiao business district for example, focuses on the analysis of its traffic problems, and proposes improvement measures;Chapter seven is the conclusion.
