With the mobility of urbanization in China to further accelerate the process, urban land use tend to focus on high-density development, and traffic pressure is increasing more and more. Especially in the central area of medium-sized cities generally high density of land development result in frequent traffic jams, a serious urban transportation and land use issues. The transport infrastructure of the city a great deal of reform and construction, traffic congestion eased. However, due to lack of traffic demand structure, the relationship between land use structure of the overall system, such as "stop-gap" of the traditional methods it is difficult to fundamentally solve the problem. Therefore, the traffic demand from the source, that is, land-use approach to study the land-use planning and integrated transport system approach, to achieve land-use model with a reasonable combination of modes of transport, to address the three major traffic problems, urban sustainable development is an important theoretical and practical significance.This article first urban land use and transport development has been reviewed and summed up; then using deductive method of urban land use and transport system and the interactions between the evolution to analyze, many ills that exist between them have been pointed out; For the characteristics of China's urban from the qualitative point of view of urban land use and transportation system coordination and integration strategy for the sustainable development of transport modes; On this basis, the equilibrium theory based on the joint development of an integrated model, to establish land-use based elastic traffic equilibrium model, from the quantitative point of view of land-use modes of transport mode choice as well as the transportation system capacity under the conditions of land-use patterns, such as how to fix the problem; and for all types of urban land-use patterns, given the established land use modes of transport mode with the combination of ideas; Finally, the papers have selected for the main urban areas in Chongqing Municipality (within the inner ring of high-speed) land use and transport system for the study of the method and system sets the feasibility, practicality, reasonableness validated.In this paper, the results of the new City building, the old city of the expansion of integration and plan have the theory and practice of certain guiding significance.
