Desolate and extensive northwest region is the major constituent of the west Chinese territory, where has magnificent national culture, significant natural environment and glorious history of long standing.Not Until the middle period of the Tang Dynasty, the centre of the politics, economics and culture migrated to the East. Due to that reason, the West especially the northwest has been on the horns of the dilemma that the economics fell behind, ecological environment degenerated and the industrial base was vulnerable. Therefore at modern times there is more disparity between the west and the east.In 1999, with the implementation of the west development strategy and the unremitting endeavor of the decade, the west economics has made a remarkable process. The development of the city is highly effective and the architectural creation is flourishing. However, some problems have appeared during the rapid development process. That is, the large-scale architecture of the city slavishly imitates the east erections which have been deeply affected be the globalization. The slavish coping, which lacked the personality and the characteristic, only pursued the superficial modernizations and ignored the local climate and the geography. Into the twenty first century, propagating the traditional culture became the theme of the new epoch. Some active architects who are subservient to the west culture and explore the fire-new western architectural creation line take root in the west.The thesis tried to commence from the local regional architecture, emphasizing and analyzing the work and the idea of the outstanding architects of the northwest, besides specify and analyze the excellent architectural example of the modern times. Furthermore, basing on the numerous research of the northern west modern architectural work and applying to the induction and the generalization, the appropriate creative idea and the technique of the architecture will be present under the globalization.
