After the Opium War, China was forced to open doors and then a large number of Western architects have gradually along with the other Western immigrants into China. German architector Curt. Rothkegel was representated by people as one of the tops. Rothkegel came to China in the early 20th century and construction firm in Beijing, Tianjin, Qingdao, Xiamen, Shenyang and other places to carry out design activities, leaving many great buildings, part of them even considerable as the landmarks of the city, such as Beijing International Club, Qingdao Christian churches ect.
