Study On The Northwestern Cities' Leapfrog Development Basing On Analysis Of The Planning Of Developed Cities

"Leapfrog Development of Cities" is a development mode base on the transcendence strategy. Its central implicatiaon is in the process of rapid urbanization, cities leap out its boundaries and seek after new land for further development. The object of this mode is to improve the cities'competitiveness. For the cities in the northwestern region, which fall behind other cities for a long time,leapfrog development is a good choose, because this strategy will help them to come up to the level of developed cities in short time. But in another side, the strategy does not always bring about benefits, when be taken up in a wrong time, it will be a disaster for the cities. Particulary for the cities in the northwestern region, the unsuitable decision will not only result in gigantic extravagance to the city resource, but also bring on destroyment for the seamy circumstance. More worse, the cities will lose the development oppuntity because of the undue action, which is much more precious. In this dissertation, the author discloses the essence and the implication of the leapfrog development strategy, analyses the dynamic mechanism of the strategy. Also the author discovers the reapercussion that the stratege will bring about to the city form and the city structure, the author believes that all these work will be helpful for the northwestern cities to take up the strategy propertly. This dissertation contain three parts: the theoretical research of leapfrog development, the research of the relationship between leapfrog development and the urban planning, the example study on the leapfrog development plannings in northwestern cities.The first part focuses on the leapfrog development definition itself and establish a research framework of "leapfrog development". In this part, the author also throws light on the stratege form the side of city form.In part two the author analyses the effection that the leapfrog development bings about on the city form and the city structure. Furthermore, the author expounds the exploitationmanner of city land during the time of leapfrogging.In the last part, the author studies the basic situation of nonrthwestern region and analyses the features of the northwestern cities. Connected with the consequence of the foregoing, the author assays the planning of the typical cities in northwestern region, which take up the leapfrog development stratege recently. After these research, the author points out the issues that the cities should pay attention to when they are about to take up the leapfrog development strategy.
