Problems On Planning And Designing Of Urban Community Parking And Countermeasures

Currently, private cars have poured into ordinary households in larger and larger quantities. While we are brought by motor vehicles into the enjoyment of fastness and convenience, our own troubles are emerging from that. This is the same situation for those urban living communities that are surely important to the locals. Delays of planning and designing for parking in living communities have caused many troubles to private car owners and common residents in the communities, which has as well arose social problems. This paper is based on the practices of on-the-spot investigation into parking situations of residential communities in Linyi of Shandong, so as to promote a general knowledge around this issue nationwide. We do our inductions, liquidations and analysis toward problems we have met in the process, and find the radixes of these phenomena under the guide of related theories. From the theoretical perspective of sociology, behavioral science, human engineering, and art and design study related, we have done a comprehensive discussion on the behavior and the psychology of residents who park their cars in the communities. Meanwhile, we have also done a deep analysis and argument on the relationship between the transportation of the residential communities and the parking planning in them. At last, proposed urban living environment and community transportation as well as the parking planning and design ideas will appear in the paper. Also, we will give an opinion on the designing of how the parking spots can be. We hope that it can help to provide some references for the designing of parking places.
