The Research On The Location Method Of Urban Public Parking Facilities

Parking facility is one of the most important constituents of urban transportation infrastructure. With the improvement of the urbanization and the motorization, the urban traffic demand increased rapidly. As a result, a series of problems arises, such as the serious lack of parking facilities, the proportion imbalance of every kinds parking facilities, the unreasonable planning's layout and setting, the inefficiency of facilities using, random parking, etc. To cope with the copping contradiction of the parking supply and demand, it's necessary to make further study of urban parking facilities'planning methods while accelerating the urban parking facilities construction.Urban parking demand forecasting is an important content of the urban parking planning, and the aim of the foreccast analysis is to provide the basis for planning berths reservation. On the base of analysing the urban parking demand and supply, the location and scale of public parking, the effect factors of the parking planning and evaluation analysis, this thesis suggests the methords to determin urban parking berths reasonable. The parking distribution planning is the core content of the parking planning, and it could be divided into the parking inside driveway and parking outside driveway by parking place. Focusing on the parking outside driveway, this thesis mainly reasearch the distribution and planning methords from both qualitative and quantity. At last this thesis gives an example analysis, and summarizes the present situation and existing problems of qinhuangdao development zone's parking facilities, and analysis the development zone's parking demand and distribution in the planning period. Then this thesis gives suggestions for urban parking policy and parking distribution and land using planning in detailed level planning. The reasearch in this thesis would be helpful to improve the parking situation of qinhuangdao development zone, and could provide basis for other cities'parking construction and management in the future.The thesis's purpose is to find new thoughts and new ways which are suitable to solve the urban location problems from deeply analysis and reasearches of urban regional parking planning.
