Active and passive acoustic positioning system is a set of shooting range measuring equipment which is developed to guarantee the quality of the design finalizing trials and researching trials of some underwater weapons. The system is designed to track the underwater moving target in three dimensions. It can work in active mode or passive mode.In the passive working mode, the target's horizontal position is obtained by measurements of the DOA and using the bearing-only cross method, while the active one solves the position by measurements of the time delay or time delay difference of signal pulse from the cooperative target to the receivers using hyperboloid cross method.The buoy subsystem is an important part in the active and passive acoustic positioning system, which takes charge in acoustic signal collecting, signal detecting and parameters estimation. The measured parameters and other data are transmitted to the ship based subsystem by wireless. The buoy hardware is composed of preamplifier, conditional processing part, acoustic signal processing part, communication and control part, power supply manager, etc. The main work of the dissertation is to design the buoy hardware besides preamplifier and communication and control part. The detailed content includes:1,The conditional processor design. The amplifier, filter and electromagnetic shielding circuit are designed according to the system technical index and on the principal of low noise and low power assumption.2,Acoustic signal processor design. The FPGA and double DSPs structure is adopted, the analog signals are conversed into digital ones and are processed primaryly in the double DSPs.3,The power supply manager design. Each circuit model is supplied with power and programmed controlled. The high converting efficiency is taken into account as well as low noise during the design . The buoy signal processing hardware platform for active and passive acoustic positioning system is validated by lake trial to be stable and reliable.
