The pilgrim's progress thought research mainly studies the overall layout of the famous mountains and mountain visiting culture of the Chinese culture. The natural resources and humanities resources which are influenced by the religion and politics make the regional pattern of the famous mountains be obvious through building the religious characteristic of the specific famous mountains defer to the pilgrim's progress designing thought. Then the tour route and the best watching spot are organized and chosen. All of these are important to plan and to continue the basic study of history culture.The thesis discusses the mountain visiting idea of Chinese culture through four aspects of the mountain worship, doctrine and the mountain, landscape esthetic and geomantic omen. As well as the scenery constructed manner and the background of the ancient construction culture scene of the natural landscape situation.Thesis put forward the thought of the pilgrim's progress'layout, level, constitution, type through the research of the famous mountains developing process.The thesis chooses the Chinese famous mountains as the object of study. It lay stress on the influence which to the famous mountains construction of "the pilgrim's progress". It summaried the constructed manner under "the pilgrim's progress" through Huashan, Taishan, Mt.Wudang, Mt.wangwushan four representative famous mountains system analysis.The paper analyzes Huashan each historical period Huashan's cognition evolution process from worship mountains and making sacrificial offering, Taoism development, and the mountaineering route development It studies the building process of Huashan 'the pilgrim's progress" thought and obtains the spatial pattern of Huashan "the pilgrim's progress".
