With the development of automobile industry and road transportation, traffic accident has become a serious problem in the world, so the research on road traffic accident reconstruction is urgent and necessary. In accidents, the car-to-car collision accident is the most serious one. It ends instantly and can not be known in detail by intuition. Therefore, it is urgent to study car-to-car collision accident comprehensively and systematically, and the research also is the academic foundation to analyze and deal with traffic accident.In this paper, the theory of vehicle impact is researched profoundly and a new traffic accident reconstruction and analysis system is carried out with computer science and theory of vehicle impact.Firstly, on the basis of summarizing the research results, this paper deeply discusses the calculating model to analyze the instantaneous motion state in vehicle collision and the interrelation between restitution coefficient and vehicle collision speed. The simplified Gim tyre model is introduced, this type model has the fast computing and higher calculating precision, it is the practical vehicle type model in the analysis of vehicle collision accident at present. According to the collinear collision and two-dimension collision, the paper establishes the impact model at vehicle collision moment and the post collision movement model.Secondly, the paper develops a inverted calculating method for car to car collision accident. For collinear collision, the preceding collision velocity and post collision velocity are calculated on the basis of the slippage distance and unreturnable distortion of collision vehicle; For collinear collision, the preceding collision velocity and post collision velocity are calculated on the basis of the impact locality and stop locality of collision vehicle. This method has the briefer computing and higher calculating precision, and its parameter is inputted easily.After finishing the theory deducing and establishing the model, the paperdevelops the road traffic accident reconstruction software. Compared with the impact test and road traffic accident scene, it proves that this software is valid and able to provide a scientific tool for disposal and analysis of road traffic accident.
