With the development of automobile industry and road transportation, traffic accident has become a serious problem in the world, so the research on road traffic accident reconstruction is urgent and necessary. In accidents, the car-to-car collision accident is the most serious one. It ends instantly, can not be known in detail by intuition. Therefore, it is urgent to study car-to-car collision accident comprehensively and systematically, and the research also is the academic foundation to analyze and deal with traffic accident.Based on the theory of vehicle impact, a new traffic accident reconstruction and analysis system is researched in this paper. At first, the vehicle kinetic model and impact model are set up. This paper puts forward five different vehicle impact models according to the collinear collision and two-dimension collision and the restitution coefficient is used in these models. Then, the road traffic accident reconstruction and simulation system is developed. This system is able to input the traffic accident scene information and simulate the traffic accident whole process. Compared with the impact test and road traffic accident scene, it proves that this system is valid and able to provide a scientific tool for the verdict and analysis of road traffic accident.
