Kindergarten, as an important and basic establishment for bringing up new generations, is essential to enhance the civil quality of our country. The architectural environment of kindergarten will definitely influence the physical and psychological health of children. Due to the small scale, people do not attach much importance to the architectures of kindergarten and this causes many problems as long as these architectures are used.Nowadays ecology architectures have been the current to the architectural development. The questions of how to comfort children and meanwhile get the harmonious development of human beings and nature have been the new requests to the architectures of kindergarten. This paper will focus on the architectures of full-time kindergarten in Xi'an city. By doing the field survey and questionnaire test in Xi'an, the writer has known the summer and winter indoor physical environment of kindergarten and found the characteristics and problems existing in its architectures. These offer the reference to the succedent design. The problems of indoor physical environment can be found in the research: in order to decrease the indoor temperature, the long-time use of air-condition will not only make the quality of atmosphere worse, but consume great volume of energy sources as well; the lack of ventilation in winter and summer and the unsatisfactory design of toilet can also make the indoor atmosphere and sound environment worse.Aimed at solving the problems existing in the design of the architecture ofkindergarten, this paper will raise the relevant countermeasures for the indoor physical environment from aspects of the field layout, the distribution of function, the passive way of design and the design of virescence, etc.
