Against the research object background of light remote weapon station, this paper took a certain type of general purpose machine gun and its buffering frame foundation as the research objects and developed a three-dimensional entity model of them by the three-dimensional drawing software. Afterward, it additionally developed a rigid-flexible coupling model of the machine gun and buffering frame foundation by the finite element analysis and the dynamics simulation software. By means of dynamics simulations in different conditions, this paper analyzed and studied the effect of buffering frame foundation on muzzle jump in shooting. The detailed research contents include:in flat fire or in small angle of fire, the effect of the buffer’s presence and absence on the muzzle bounce in machine gun’s single shot and running fire and the effect mechanism; in flat fire or in small angle of fire, the effect of the change in buffer’s rigidity and preloaded pressure on the muzzle bounce. The conclusions from the analysis of simulation result are that, no matter in flat fire or in small angle of fire, the buffer could decrease the muzzle bounce’s maximum displacement and maximum speed in machine gun’s single shot and running fire by reducing the rifle stand’s deformation; and no matter in flat fire or in small angle of fire, the maximum displacement of muzzle in vertical bounce direction could be decreased slightly along with the magnify of the buffer’s rigidity, and be increased slightly along with the magnify of the buffer’s preloaded pressure, moreover, the effects of buffer’s rigidity and preloaded pressure are independent of each other.
