The remote control weapon station is one type of high-tech,intelligent weapon system that suitable for the warfare now and future,which owns the distinctive feature such as high versatility,high precision and high intelligence,it can be controlled to rapidly search and attack the target by person in the vehicle,not only improve the combat performance of weapons,but also ensuring the safety of personnel,makes it very suitable to be the typical weapon system of various types of mobile platform like infantry vehicle,tank,warship.The remote weapon station mainly consists of upper and lower shelves,cradle,cartridge box,light sight and corresponding drive unit.The main problems need be solved for the remote weapon station structure are lightweight structure,high precision shooting and automatic continuous feeding,the research in this paper is mainly focused on the problems mentioned.The research in the paper is focused on the light-weight RCWS,concretely pay attention to the problems of weight-related structure design,the selection of drive motor and cartridge link feed device design.(1)Define the main function and data specification according to the overall argumentation requirements,the operational needs and operating conditions of the remote weapon station.Present the structure design scheme of weight-related structure and function assembly after the whole layout finished.(2)The buffering cradle mainly used for supporting,guiding buffering when shooting is the key device for RCWS to achieve high-precision shooting,Find the method for optimizing rigidity and damp through the dynamic analysis to conduct specific design.(3)Check and analyze the strength and rigidity of upper and lower shelves to finish the light-weight treatment for the purpose of RCWS light-weight designing,analyze and calculate load of RCWS,select the motor under the requirement of data specification.(4)It's necessary to solve the key problem of small-caliber ammunition transportation,which is related to the continuous shooting of the weapon station.This paper proposes the cartridge link feed device of small caliber weapon,analyze the points such as design of feeding wheels,synchro gear transmission,link-belt conveyor correction,motor selection,circuit protection and so on.(5)In order to verify the performance of system,the precision shooting test for RCWS and link-belt transportation test for cartridge transporting device were respectively carried out.The experimental results manifest that RCWS system meets the design requirements and cartridge transporting device initially meets the usage requirements.The paper gives the design method of key structure and device of RCWS,lays a good foundation for the design of the new remote weapon station.The research results have a certain significance for RCWS to be lighter and more practical.
