Regional Environmental Nuclear Radiation Monitoring System Based On ZigBee

Nuclear radiation environment monitoring has become an important environmentalproblem. With social awareness of nuclear radiation war and nuclear radiation terrorism,countries must establish effective radiation environmental monitoring platform. This paperinvestigate regional environmental nuclear radiation monitoring system and wirelesssensor network, which can promote our financial industry to realize healthy development,promote our country establishing nuclear radiation monitoring system and prevent nuclearaccident.Based on the theory of regional environmental nuclear radiation monitoring, thispaper uses ZigBee wireless technology to design ZigBee-wireless-sensor-network-basedregional environmental nuclear radiation monitoring system. First of all, based ontheoretical analysis of wireless sensor network architecture and ZigBee protocol, radiationenvironmental monitoring network topology is designed; Secondly, JN5121is choosed asthe core module of ZigBee wireless sensor networking hardware platform; Then, with theanalysis of receiving mechanism, data sending and coordination between the networknodes, network structure and dynamic network management, the software development iscompleted. Finally, hardware and software of the proposed system is debugged and tested.The system can measure real-time data, show the gamma radiation dose rate, realize theremote control, scene control, security alarm and environmental monitoring, etc.The application of regional environmental nuclear radiation monitoring system,achieves distinct environment benefit and social benefit. Meanwhile a set of practical，efficient and recommendable industrialized methods is supplied for the regionalenvironmental nuclear radiation monitoring problems.
