The Research On Wip Management In Manufacturing Of Machinery Company

The massive WIP in the production line of A company, not only ties up huge amount of liquid capital, but also wastes large space the workshop. In order to ease the pressure of high WIP and keep the production with the same continuity and high flexibility towards dynamic plans, we analyzed a typical section - - the front frame section, and proposed a multi-aspect solution for production and management.First, we simulated the production of the front frame section by software. And then considering the capability of each station and the linkage in between, a maximum limit of WIP was assigned to each station, which can simply bring down the WIP.Meanwhile, informationization for WIP is necessary for a continuous and flexible production. Based on current situation, we designed a feasible Kanban system to platform and share the information of WIP.Optimization of human resource and stimulation policy comes along with lean production. Since the piece rate wage is unchangeable at the current stage, we brought in index of skill level, and then tailored the bonus structure for different workers to coordinate with lean production.
