Research Of Folk Character Landscape Planning Of The Waterfront Area In Daowai District In Harbin

Urban waterfront area witnessed the history of urban development, and serves as the microcosm of the city's culture and life style. Waterfront area investigation plays a more and more important role in the cities' development strategies. It is recognized that the waterfront areas are potential resources of great advantages. The urban landscape reflects different local cultural characteristics. The waterfront area in Daowai district, Harbin, bordering the Songhua River, witnessed the development history of the city, from wild to civilization, containing a wealth of history and folk culture resources. By integrating these valuable resources to the waterfront landscape planning, not only the historical value of Daowai district waterfront landscape can be raised, but also the spirit of city can be promoted.Waterfront landscape is a product of human society, culture, natural environment, and other factors, which is specific and unique. By analyzing the current condition of the waterfront landscape in Daowai district, the problems and factors affecting the landscape of the waterfront area were obtained. Aiming to solve the problem of lacking landscape features, energy shortage and other issues, this paper analyzed the relation between the local culture and waterfront landscape, and discussed the effects of elements, design on the performance of the landscape features. This paper also created a series of waterfront landscape system, which both strengthened the local cultural characteristics, and systematically organized. In the view of the local people's living style, this paper proposed a solution for promoting the performance of landscape and enhancing local culture characteristics.
