Abstract/Summary:
Streetscape is an important part of the space environment, it both has the natural property and the social cultural attributes. And the streetscape in the Historic District also has its own particularity. Therefore, its not only to meet certain social and cultural functions, such as viewing, communication, recreation, relaxation and so on, but also should match its own culture and history atmosphere, reflecting the historical significance, cultural content and the geographical characteristics of the Historical Block. This paper is divided into five parts:First, the significance and purpose of the study area, which limits the object of this article is Harbin Daowai Historic District; second, the concept and content of streetscape and the Historic District, including the concept of the street, the concept of the Historic District, the concept of the streetscape, the type of city streets, urban streetscape elements, and the necessary of protecting and developing Historic District; third, the development and current situation of Harbin Daowai Historic District's streetscape, including the cultural background and present situation of Daowai District, street classification, the main existing problems and causes; fourth, some theoretical research; fifth, the design principles of Harbin Daowai Historic District's streetscape, including basic principles, different design principles and measures for different types of streets, the design principles and measures of streetscape elements, and the trends of the Historic District streetscape. According to the study on Harbin Daowai old block, exposition from the current situation, problems, ways, the further and so on, analyze the elements during the redevelopment, to achieve the result of protecting in developing, and resolving the problems in developing and transforming.
