The construction of wind farms in China is developing rapidly in recent years, but the related technologies of wind farms and micro-site are gaps in the field of wind power. Micro sitting is mainly in the design phase, according to wind farm wind resource map, combined with the restrictions, and defined the layout of wind turbines to meet the requirements of developers and the relevant departments so that the whole wind farm will have good economic efficiency. Appropriate micro-site or not, will directly affect the wind resource utilization, annual production and surrounding environment in the operating of wind farm.In this paper, based on the actual experience of wind farm, considering the foreign projects, make the demonstration projects in cooperation between China and Denmark"Xiang Yang Wind Farm (400MW) micro-site of Da Tang in Jilin Province" as an example, based on 30 years of meteorological data of the weather station of Tao Nan and the wind data of five met masts(00807,00773,00766,01682,04221) near the wind farm of Xiang Yang, through analyzing we found that using the wind data of No.00807 met mast to represent wind resources in the northern region of wind farm, using the wind data of No.00773 met mast to represent in the southern regional wind resources of wind farm. Appling WAsP and WindFarmer to do wind resource computation, according to the calculated wind resources result, setting a 2.5km wide buffer zone, separating the whole site area into two parts---North and South. Through the analysis and comparison we decided to set the spacing between wind turbines based on 9.0D×5.0D. Based on the different regions, comparing the different layout of different wind turbines, and finally obtained the optimization layout of wind turbine.Software computes wind resource based on the Weibull distribution parameters. Wind speed distribution models have the Pearson distribution model, Rayleigh distribution model and the Weibull distribution model; most situations approximately obey the two-parameter Weibull wind speed distribution. Based on the wind resource analysis we found that the real situation is better fitted Weibull distribution model to ensure the accuracy of the final results of production. Finally, the layout of wind turbine must pass the examination of load analysis, and turbulence intensity is the basic factor of safety load, the turbulence intensity of the wind farm is small, fully meet the load requirement of wind turbine.From the view of the practical work, the accurate measurement of terrain is base for micro-site, if the terrain can't accurately reflect the topographic conditions, the computation result of production will have more errors. In the simple terrain condition, Weibull fit is better, to reflect the wind resources very well. The complete detailed analysis of wind resource data is a key factor of wind farm micro-site, in the same range of wind farm, generally a met mast can't represent the entire wind farm's wind resources, is not typical and not representative. Therefore, the comprehensive analysis of more met masts is critical, so as to reflect the wind resources of wind farm very well.
