| Based on the policy orientation of the protection of the Yangtze River and the optimization of urban and rural spatial layout,China is in urgent need of exploring effective methods to identify and sort out the resources within the region.Landscape feature assessment,as a technique to identify the most significant regional landscape features and the reasons for their formation,has become an effective tool for regional landscape management and protection and prevention of landscape homogenization all over the world.In the practice and exploration of the coordinated development of urban and rural areas in China,the landscape feature identification at the scale of the main urban area is relatively lacking in research experience and reference cases,and a set of methods adapted to complex landscape combinations has not been formed yet.Therefore,this paper,based on the theory of landscape feature evaluation and using the relevant research methods at home and abroad for reference,tries to identify the landscape features of the city’s main urban area as a specific object,and puts forward the management and protection strategies for the Xiangyang city’s main urban area based on the case identification results.In this paper,according to the characteristics of the main urban area of Xiangyang City,a strategy of "two scales and two steps" is proposed.The scale of surface area is the landscape feature recognition of the whole territory,which is carried out in two steps.The first step is based on Ecoognition image segmentation software,and three factors of elevation,topographic relief and land use are used to divide landscape partitions with great differences among them under the resolution of 100 × 100m:mountain landscape,lowland cultivated land landscape and lowland construction land landscape.In the second step,specific factors were selected for the three regions.Based on the Arc GIS platform,raster grid data samples with corresponding resolutions were superimposed respectively.After cluster analysis,the final results of landscape feature types were obtained.Through desk research and field investigation,21 types of landscape feature types and 8 types of landscape feature areas are identified in the main urban area of Xiangyang.The characteristic areas are urban central landscape area,urban fringe landscape area,village landscape area,regular cultivated land landscape area,mixed texture cultivated land landscape area,hill cultivated land landscape area,mountain cultivated land landscape area and river landscape area.Corridor scale is aimed at the in-depth identification of river landscape.Based on the identification of the front area,four buffer zones of water area,soil and water conservation,cultural heritage and view area are delimit to the river landscape,so as to classify the river landscape more accurately and comprehensively and facilitate the proposal of subsequent protection strategies.Remote sensing images were used to extract water area space in buffer zone demarcation.Rusle model is used to calculate the amount of soil erosion,and then the water and soil conservation is classified.Set up cultural heritage points with an extension of 400 to 500 meters buffer zone protection;Arc GIS platform analyzes the view space and delimits the above four types of space.In terms of management and conservation strategies,the regional management and conservation of landscape at the scale of landscape area focuses on the maintenance of the spatial structure of eight landscape feature regions from a macro perspective.The core nodes,the coverage range of nodes and the landscape connection axes of important nodes are summarized,and the corresponding maintenance strategies are proposed based on such spatial relations between points,lines and planes.The management and protection of landscape feature types is to put forward corresponding concrete measures for each category of key landscape features.The river landscape management and conservation strategy at the corridor scale is based on the four types of buffer zones to coordinate the delineation of landscape function zoning,and puts forward suggestions for the construction or protection of the functions of each area. |
