Education of architecture in the area of Nanyang and Xiangyang is an important carrier of social culture education, but also an important place of the Chinesetalent training. Culturaleducation plays a leading rolenot only in the development of the society, but also is an important way to improve the quality of the people. In the history of ancient Chinese society, the various dynasties have attached great importance to the cultural and educational activities. In the area of Nanyang and Xiangyang the education was prosperous that various kinds and numbers of education buildings were built,and had the profound significance of the research.First of all, based on the history of the development of Chinese ancient education and educational buildings, the formation and development of the education building in the area of Nanyang and Xiangyang were studied. In the aspects of literature,history, architecture, local customs, religious beliefs and other factors, the unique education building of the area of Nanyang and Xiangyang area were formed. Its development has experienced seven ages of the primitive clan, spring and autumn and the Warring States, the Han, song, yuan, Ming,Qing, from the natural form of education to the university education with modern meaning.From the aspects of the education, history and architecture,This paper analyses the characteristics of educational building of the area of Nanyang and Xiangyang. The main research of education focus on the development of Chinese education and the education activity of the area of Nanyang and Xiangyang; the development of education historymainly researchesthe education direction of the area of Nanyang and Xiangyang area; basic characteristics and spatial structure of educational architecture are concluded.Finally, on the basis of the above studies, the paper finds out the cultural heritage and architectural features of education building in the area of Nanyang and Xiangyang, in the collision and fusion of the Central Plains culture and the culture of Jingchu culture, and in the culural transferring between ancient northand south china. Rich cultural heritagelet education buildingin the area of Nanyang and Xiangyang have more research significance.Through the literature of educationhistory, field investigation, consulting and local scholars and experts, the researchresults on educational buildings can provide practical and theoretical guide in the future development ofthe area between Nanyang and Xiangyang, especially in the practices of cultural education and creationofeducationarchitecture.
